A continent with an approximate population of 1 billion people and 54 countries, was having 49 million cellphones in the year 2002, and currently there are 500 million cellphones in the continent. Statistics shows by 2020 every single individual in the continent would posses a cellphone. At the moment 110 million people can access internet through their cell phones where 50% of it use their cellphones to browse the internet.

Did you know the famous "PLEASE CALL ME" originated in Africa?
And everyday 10,000 people join M-PESA a great cellphone money sending network that was introduced in Kenya.?????
