  World most Tallest buildings
10th.
Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai, China

The 421-metre Jin Mao Tower was built in 1999 and contains offices and the Shanghai Grand Hyatt. The design draws on traditional Chinese architecture, with tiers stepping back as it rises. The building's proportions revolve around the number eight, which is associated with prosperity in Chinese culture. The 88 floors are divided into 16 segments.
9th.
The Trump International Hotel and Tower, Chicago, US

While it's only the ninth tallest, this condo-hotel is among the most famous on the world's tallest list – mainly because of its bottle-blonde owner Donald Trump, who has famously fired potential employees on numerous seasons of his reality show The Apprentice. It is 423-metres-tall, including the spire, and has views spanning to the Chicago River's entry to Lake Michigan.

8th.

 Guangzhou International Finance Centre

This smooth 440-metre building looms above its neighbours in the Tianhe District. It was completed last year, and is home to the Four Seasons Hotel, which has its lobby on the 70th floor. Observation decks are on the 99th and 100th floors.
7th.

 Willis Tower, Chicago, US

This 208-storey, 442-metre giant surpassed the World Trade Center towers in New York when it was built in 1973 – and it clung to its title of the world's tallest for nearly a quarter of a century. It was formerly named the Sears Tower and many people still use its old name.

6th.

Nanjing Greenland Financial Centre, Nanjing, China

The 450-metre financial centre that overlooks Xuanwu Lake, was completed last year, and became the second tallest building in China. There is an observation deck on level 72 which provides great views of the nearby lakes, rivers and Ningzheng Ridge mountains.

5th.

Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Malaysia's famous twin towers took seven years to build and were the tallest in the world when they were finished in 1998. The 452-metre landmarks have the world’s deepest foundations – a staggering 120 metres – because of the depth of the bedrock. They held on to their title for six years, but remain the tallest twin buildings in the world
4th.
. International Commerce Centre, Kowloon, Kong Kong

Hong Kong's tallest building was completed last year as part of the Union Square project built on top of Kowloon Station. It's 484-metres-high and has 118 storeys. The Ritz Carlton opened in the skyscraper in March this year and the observatory followed in April.

3rd.

 Shanghai World Financial Centre, China
The 492-metre concrete and steel skyscraper houses offices, conference rooms, observation decks and shopping malls as well as the Park Hyatt Shanghai, which occupies the 79th to the 93rd floors. It was completed in 2008.

2nd.
Taipei 101, Taiwan

Formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, Taipei 101 was the tallest building in the world when it opened in 2004. The 509-metre structure has 101 floors above ground and another five underground. It's designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes.
