Tanzania
we had,
Tanzania we have and Tanzania we want
Tanzania is an East African nation. The republic of Tanzania
was formed in 1964. The republic consists of two countries Tanganyika and
Zanzibar. Tanzania is very huge country, its people have different cultures,
beliefs etc. Tanzania is very rich country in Terms of natural resources, but
its people are still poor.
20-30 years ago the Tanzanians were very united. Tanzanians
used to live in peace and harmony with each other. They used to work together
to tackle the problems they had. The
citizens they shared their joy and divided their sorrows. At those times in the
country people didn’t identify themselves with their religions. It was also not
common for the people of one group to discriminate people of the other group
due to the differences they had. Not the rich were superior and the poor
inferior. Those with authority tried to work for the goodness of the whole
nation. The educated ones were working for the betterment of the whole nation
and not for their own benefits.
In Tanzania the gap between the rich ones and the poor ones
has massively increased. Let me be clear that I am not against free economy. I
am against Tanzanians who identify themselves and the others with what they
have or what they do not have. I am against the system that gives an individual
his (her) dignity according to his (her) economical situation. In Tanzania now
we do not have cooperation to each other. What we have is competition. Every
one competes for himself and against everyone else. The leaders who have been elected by people
for the people now in public posts they work only for the good of themselves or
that of their families. The Tanzanians nowadays they identify themselves with
either the religions they believe in or with the ethnical groups they belong
in. An intact country made of just people now is divided into endless groups.
We have the educated and the opposite, we have the rich and the poor, we have
different religious groups, we have those with power and those with no
influence.
The Tanzanians would like to live
in a country where by each one can cooperate with each other to achieve the
economic developments. The citizens would like to have the leaders who know
that Tanzania faces problems. Those leaders should have full awareness that the
country has problems like poverty and corruption. That should not be the end
but those leaders should be working to solve the above problems. Tanzanians
would like to live in a country where there are no religious and ethnic
conflicts.
