A man who shot dead a black teenager in a case that has caused outrage in the US has been charged with second-degree murder.Florida state prosecutor Angela Corey confirmed George Zimmerman, 28, has been charged over 17-year-old Trayvon Martin's killing.She revealed that Zimmerman is in police custody, at an undisclosed location somewhere in the state, after he handed himself in.Zimmerman, a neighbourhood watch volunteer , admitted shooting the teenager in a gated community on February 26The average jail sentence for second-degree murder is around 22 years.
