Francois Hollande is the new French president, ending Nicolas Sarkozy's rule after just one term.He becomes the first Socialist president of the country for 17 years.Mr Hollande said the French people had voted for change and that austerity should no longer be considered inevitable.He also said he wanted his presidency to be judged on what he did to deliver justice and to help the youth of France.
